Call of Duty: Black Ops review

So Call of Duty: Black Ops was released at midnight on November eighth and I was lucky enough to be able to play some of the multiplayer and zombie mode today so I'll be giving my first impressions on that. I wasn’t able to play the story which I am disappointed about so I won’t talk about it much.
What I have seen from gameplay video of Black Ops is that there is a wide verity of locations and time periods you play in and they all look very interesting. There are missions that require you to use stealth to get past some parts which I enjoy playing, because they help break up the action of the game and provide a much more enjoyable and broader gameplay. Like Modern Warfare 2 there is collectible Intel again which I don’t really care for I think shooters in general should focus more on gameplay rather than collectibles.
Online play offered plenty of map ranging from large to small which is good because when playing a game with few people the big maps can get boring because you’ll spend most of your time running before you’ll find some. The money system used to unlock weapons and kill streaks I liked very much since it allows me to bypass the guns that aren’t so good in the beginning and save up my money for the better guns. One thing I didn’t like about the guns is the iron sights and the attachment sights. The iron sights were very hard to see out and made shoot at the enemies very hard since I couldn’t see them well. Also the scopes and red dots sights weren’t that much better either the cross-hairs on the scopes didn’t cross in the middle which again made it hard to kill enemies, and the red dot on the red dot sights were had to see I struggles to tell where the dot was from the environment.
Zombie mode is pretty much the same as in Call of Duty: World at War the only changes I saw between them were the choices in guns and maps.

  1. I was hoping you'd do something with the new release! I've been seeing the signs. What's zombie mode? How does it compare to the other Call of Duty?
