Star Ocean: The Last Hope - International Review

So recently I picked up a copy of Star Ocean: The Last Hope - International so, I decided to give you all a review of it. So the story starts out that World War III has happened on Earth and Earth's surface is no longer fit for humans to live on, so human build underground shelters to live in. You play as Edge Maverick a member of the Universal Science and Technology Administration or USTA. Your mission is to explore planets for humans to live on, and everything goes down hill from there (I don't want to spoil the story). While exploring the planets you meet more people who join up to help you. The gamplay closely resembles that of Star Ocean: Till The End Of Time. With is a real time fighting system with i like as opposed to many RPGs which are turn based. Some new improvements from Till The End Of Time is the addition of Blindsiding and the Rush gauge. Blindsiding allows your character to run around the enemy and attack them with more damage when you would not using blindside. When you activate the Rush gauge it allows you to use a combo on the enemy dealing more damage than regular attacks. The differences between the xbox360 version and PS3 version is that the PS3 version allows you to change the main menu display to an anime version and allows you to change the voices to the original Japanese voices (which I enjoyed VERY much).  Over all I really have enjoyed the game although I have many more side-quests to do. The story was very good and interesting (cutscenes could be really long) and the gameplay was fun and was easy to use. I'd give it a 8.5/10.

  1. This post is really appropriate for your audience. Can you add some pictures? I think that would be engaging for gamers. Great choice of a background. Also, your title is cool.

    Great start, Tyler.
