Deathspank: Thongs of Virtue review

I am going to be giving you my impressions and opinions on Deathspank: Thongs of Virtue. Deathspank: Thongs of Virtue is a DLC title for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 made by Hothead Games(creators of Monkey Island) it is a hack and slash RPG adventure game. Thongs of Virtue takes place after the first game titled Deathspank. We find Deathspank our hero to the down trodden, dispenser of justice, and vanquisher of evil imprisoned in a P.O.W. camp pealing a mountain of potatoes. You team up wit the other captives in the P.O.W. camp to try to escape. You have to dress us like an ogre to fool the guards and escape. Once you escape you find yourself facing off against the first boss of the game. Once you beat the boss you run into the read haired woman Sandy you tells you the origin of the thongs and who the wearers are so that you can defeat them and retrieve their thongs and save the world. The wearers of the thongs are a nun, a chef, and Santa Clause himself, yes you have to kill Santa. Like the first game the combat has stayed the same except now you can have a friend use a second controller to join you on your quest. The humor in the game is heuristically amusing. I don't think I made it through dialogue with the NPCs without laughing. You meet up with a prostitute with a heart of gold offering her services to soldiers for only $1 which is just her dressing up in weird costumes. But really her heart is made of sold gold. The funniest line from the game to me would have to be "I don't think anyone as disturbed you inner chamber for a long time which is why you probably became a nun.". I would highly recommend this game if you enjoy hack and slash RPGs or subtle dirty humor.

TGS the good and the ugly

So the Tokyo Game Show has been happening over in Japan for about a week or so and I'm going to give my impressions and opinions on what was showed off at the show. First lets start off with the good. ICO and Shadow of the Colossus was confirmed to have a HD remake for the PS3. And i couldn't be happier I loved Shadow of the Colossus on the PS2 and I can't wait to play it again at the low price of forty dollars. Capcom showed off a new game called Asura's Wrath. The trailer they showed looked ridiculously insane and I can't wait to see some more footage. Here is a link to the trailer. Albert Wesker and Spiderman were announced for Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Spiderman was pretty much a given, but Wesker is going to be fun to play as. Now lets move onto the ugly. Capcom announced a joint project with Ninja Theory to reboot there popular series Devil May Cry. And me being a HUGE Devil May Cry fan was extremely excited until I saw this trailer. And my rage exploded. Ninja Theory completely slapped most of the Devil May Cry fan base by turning the badass silver haired red trench coat wearing demon slayer into a skinny emo looking punk. They turned what we Devil May Cry players loved about Dante and just burned it in front of our eyes. All I can say about this is they better change Dante back right quick and that i will refuse to buy this new pile of excrement or any other game Ninja Theory makes.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Servers

Back in two thousand and nine activision was talking about their online functions of games need a fee to be used. Many like myself just thought this was never going to happen because activision own one of the most popular game franchise (call of duty). But now it seems that activision is acting on these "rumors" which i thought them to be by making you pay a fee of fifteen dollars per month for a ranked eighteen player dedicated server and ninety nine cents per month for twenty four player unranked dedicated server. Activision will be running their own dedicated servers so if you don't want to run your own you can use activision's. I find this a good feature to the game, because with most server provided by game companies I find them to not get a great connection while play with people that do not live in the same country as you or have a great internet connection. But I would never spend the money to buy a server, because I believe it it wrong to have for spend sixty dollars for the disc and then another x amount of dollars to play it. I find that the ninety nine cent server is useless for that fact that it is an unranked server. If people are going to play unranked games it is either going to be with friends that live close by or when people decide to system link, and company run servers work just fine for those types of games.

Star Ocean: The Last Hope - International Review

So recently I picked up a copy of Star Ocean: The Last Hope - International so, I decided to give you all a review of it. So the story starts out that World War III has happened on Earth and Earth's surface is no longer fit for humans to live on, so human build underground shelters to live in. You play as Edge Maverick a member of the Universal Science and Technology Administration or USTA. Your mission is to explore planets for humans to live on, and everything goes down hill from there (I don't want to spoil the story). While exploring the planets you meet more people who join up to help you. The gamplay closely resembles that of Star Ocean: Till The End Of Time. With is a real time fighting system with i like as opposed to many RPGs which are turn based. Some new improvements from Till The End Of Time is the addition of Blindsiding and the Rush gauge. Blindsiding allows your character to run around the enemy and attack them with more damage when you would not using blindside. When you activate the Rush gauge it allows you to use a combo on the enemy dealing more damage than regular attacks. The differences between the xbox360 version and PS3 version is that the PS3 version allows you to change the main menu display to an anime version and allows you to change the voices to the original Japanese voices (which I enjoyed VERY much).  Over all I really have enjoyed the game although I have many more side-quests to do. The story was very good and interesting (cutscenes could be really long) and the gameplay was fun and was easy to use. I'd give it a 8.5/10.
